Fall is shaping up quite nicely, and we’ve got some great projects coming down the line, but we still have a few open spots in our Fall schedule and we’re ready to take on some new challenges. Our first award for Eyeborgs! We’re so pleased to announce that out of 400 films selected for the Action On Film International Film Festival, and five nominees, Eyeborgs has taken home the award for Best Visual Effects Feature. After three years of hard work, the studio has completed work on Eyeborgs, an independent science fiction thriller by Crimson Wolf Productions.
Pixellex brought to life over 300 visual effects shots and killer robots for the film and supervised a grand total of 600+. The studio provided a complete VFX production pipeline including matchmoving, character design, modeling, texturing, rigging, animation, rendering, lighting, compositing, and a few untimely deaths to boot.
The film is currently on tour, and will be screened in April at the Los Angeles Highlander Convention, North Carolina’s RiverRun Film Festival. The film will have its world premiere as the opening night film at the Sci-Fi-London Film Festival, April 29th – May 4th, 2009.
